William Shakespeare цитата: There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes …

You have to make an effort to always look at the good side, always think about the good things. Then you've got nothing to be afraid of. If something bad comes up, you do more thinking at that point.

First, there are good people out there; they just don’t make so much of a racket. Second, if you don’t make waves, then the bad guys don’t get washed overboard. And third, nobody bothers to bad-mouth you unless they’re afraid of you. So think of it as kind of a compliment.

All human beings search for either reasons to be good, or excuses to be bad.

If fortune makes a wicked man prosperous and a good man poor, there is no need to wonder. For the wicked regard wealth as everything, the good as nothing. And the good fortune of the bad cannot take away their badness, while virtue alone will be enough for the good.

Bow to nothing, son. I make mistakes as well as any man. If you think me wrong, be so good as to damn well say so.

In Matthew 12:23 Christ says: Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad and its fruit bad,” as if to say: Let the one who wishes to have good fruit begin by planting a good tree.” Therefore, let the person who wishes to do good works being not with the works but with the believing, for this alone makes a person good.

No act is of itself either good or bad. Only its place in the order of things makes it good or bad.

It is circumstance and proper measure that give an action its character, and make it either good or bad.
